Deck The Valley - Tri-Valley Area Christmas Light Contest

A total of 23 homes and businesses were entered into the first annual Deck the Valley Christmas Lights Contest hosted by the Dresden Buzz.

1295 Votes were cast over the contest’s duration.

The top three winners of the 2020 contest are… 1012 Chestnut Street, Dresden in third place with a final count of 148 votes, 6165 School House Road, Dresden in second place with 195 votes, and the first place winner is 6510 Swing A Long Lane in Nashport with an amazing tally of 405 votes. The Dresden Buzz will be contacting all winners the week of Jan. 4 to make arrangements to pick up prizes.

The first annual Deck the Valley Christmas Lights Contest, brought to you by the Dresden Buzz, is underway! The contest is free to enter and is open to all Tri-Valley area (Dresden, Trinway, Frazeysburg, Adamsville, Nashport, Adams Mills) residents and businesses.

To enter just take a picture of your decorated home or business and click the register button on this website to submit your picture and address and a way for us to contact you (your contact info is only visible to us). Entries will not go live on the website until we approve them. We will be manually approving the entries periodically throughout each day of the contest.

It is up to you to help decide who wins! Voting is open to anyone anywhere. Just click the thumbs up button on your favorites. You can vote for as many different entries as you like but only once for each.

You can use the map on this website to see where all of the best local lights are so you can better plan your trip out to view Christmas lights.

Make sure you get your entry submitted as soon as possible so everyone has more time to view, enjoy, and vote for your decorations. The contest closes on December 31, 2020 at 8PM. All votes will be counted and the winner will be announced Friday, January 1^st2021 on this website, on the Dresden Buzz website, in the printed issue of the Dresden Buzz published on January 1^st and on the Buzz social media pages.

There will be first, second, and third place winners. All winners will receive a novelty trophy and Deck the Valley swag. In addition, the first place winner will receive a prize bundle comprised of gift certificates or items from the Warehouse Restaurant, New Found Treasures, MARS, Humble Heart, The Farm Table on Main, Dresden’s Baskets and More, Dresden & Company, and Millers Emporium (this list is not final and may change).

RULES & TERMS: To enter the contest you must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of the home you are entering into the contest. Businesses are eligible to enter but a representative from that business must submit the entry for the contest. Participants are limited to Tri-Valley area residents and businesses only. You must completely fill out the entry form. Only your address and photo will be made public, all other information is for our use so we can contact the winners. We do not sell or release information to third parties.
